Transportation:

chicago

Many of you will be arriving by air at O’Hare airport (one of the largest and busiest in the world) though some of you may be able to fly into Midway airport (smaller and more manageable, but serviced by far fewer airlines).  There is public transportation at a quite reasonable costs (no more than a few dollars) from both airports to the University of Chicago but they can take some time (e.g. over an hour from O’Hare, with at least one transfer needed).  There are also shuttle services at a somewhat higher expense, and taxi service for those with money to burn.

Please verify public transportation schedules for yourself before traveling. Depending on local conditions and the time of your arrival, you may need to make alternate plans. The directions given here are only intended as suggestions.
